Our Whole Bean CoffeeTwo blends. Both earned.
Our roaster is a 1930s cast iron Gothot, the kind of machine they don't make anymore - literally. Gothot was acquired by Probat in the 1970s, and original parts have been unavailable for decades. What we run today is closer to a Frankenstein machine: original bones, custom-fabricated parts built by our head roaster who also happens to build motorcycles in his spare time.
The roaster is entirely manual. No digital controls, no automation - just gas level and a vent lever, the way it's been done since before either of us were born. What we've added is precision where it counts: a modern temperature probe feeding live data into Cropster, the industry standard for roast profiling and quality control. The result is a roast built on instinct and decades-old iron, backed by the same data discipline used by the best roasters in the world.
First Out
The Story: Some mornings the dog is already at the door before the espresso is pulled. First Out is the cup for that moment — warm, sweet, and ready before you are. A blend of Brazilian natural, Ethiopian natural, and Guatemalan washed coffees, it pulls a silky amber crema with a caramel finish that holds up however you take it. Medium roast. No excuses. Let's go.
Tasting Notes: Milk Chocolate · Caramel · Dark Cherry
Process: Brazil Natural · Ethiopia Natural · Guatemala Washed
Brew: Especially good as espresso. Pulls a silky crema that holds up through milk — ideal for cappuccinos and lattes. Works beautifully as drip or pour over.
$21 — 12oz whole bean
Espresso Blend · Medium Roast
Long Way Back
The Story: You didn't take the short trail. The dog knew that before you did. Long Way Back is the cup that matches the distance — bold, dark, and smoky without crossing the line. A blend of South and Central American coffees, all washed process, it delivers dark chocolate and almond with a finish that lands somewhere around a campfire s'more. Wherever you are on the trail, this is the cup that holds up.
Tasting Notes: Dark Chocolate · Almond · S'mores
Process: Colombia Washed · Honduras Washed · Peru Washed
Brew: Built for French press or drip. Does exactly what it says.
